Would You Get This Car Ticketed/Towed?

Yes I would be really annoyed if this were my driveway but you can get in and out really with no problem, unless you're a really $hitty driver in which case you shouldn't be on the road. Now if it happens again heck yes. Also you may want to invest in some cones to set up at the edges of your driveway.

dp Sometimes you have to BE AGGRESSIVE! Do it OP. Tow, Tow Tow!

He's a repeating offender. I would call.

I get it, OP. My next door neighbor has a new house built. The construction guys parked their vans within a foot or two on both sides of the driveway and on the opposite side of the street. I had to tell them to move since I couldn't back out for school run in the morning.
The construction has been going on over a year now.

48 hours? Definitely tow.

I'm not sure how to get a car ticketed - do you call 311? But yes, if I knew how to navigate a path to getting them a ticket for doing this I would do it. I've actually gotten a ticket for this (it was dark and I had to park one street over from my normal block, I didn't realize the driveway was there and ended up too close, almost exactly like this picture). One ticket and I check my distance to driveways obsessively now; maybe your neighbor will be similarly chastised.

In Arlington, you call the non-emergency number: 703-558-2222

If it happened once I wouldnt do anything. The 2nd time I'd leave a note on the windshield asking them to please not block my driveway. Third time I'd call and get it ticketed/towed (whatever it is they do when you call).

OP here, no, I can't get in and out "with no problem". The street is one way so you can only back out one direction, which requires swinging the car around this asshat that has blocked about two feet of swing space. No way Arlington or my neighbors would let me cone off an area in the street. I also have a 16 year old new driver and I don't want them hitting the car.

It will be 48 hours at noon today. Dude is getting ticketed.

I was simply offering a different perspective. Maybe you should have mentioned it in an earlier post that it's been nearly 48 hours! Yes get them towed!

Even if you can get out, when people block alleys like that puling out is much more dangerous.

You withheld these important details in your OP. I previously said i wouldn't if it happened once, but based on this new information, yes I'd call for a tow/ticket.

Yes just call and ask someone to come ticket.

This is obnoxious to do.

Leave a note or knock on the door or catch them next time you see them.

Repeat offender for extended time? I’d definitely call for ticketing. And I’d call every time I saw it thereafter.

I am completely over entitled jerks.

I would get a snatch strap and tug it out of the way myself the second I saw that.

If the owner of the car doesn’t like seeing it dragged out of the way by my Jeep, perhaps that will drive home the point.

Call the cops. He needs to park several feet away from your driveway.
