Division 1 will be a blood bath this year. A lot of unhappy folks last year. So the teams are really gonna bring it.

Can you explain what happened last year?

A lot of parents and students were questioning the placements of the teams. Some years, the judges are indecisive. Also it doesn’t look good when the 1st place team coach is a Washington Cheerleader. I also believe a school was unfairly moved down a division for this upcoming year.

Why not? Isn’t the goal to hire someone with professional experience in their field? If the boys’ soccer team hired a DC United player as coach, would that be a bad “look”?

I’m not clear on what kind of corruption or unfair advantage is being implied here. Without more specifics, it just sounds like sour grapes.

Sounds like the implication is that wealthy parents use their privilege to give their children an unfair advantage. TLDR this is nothing new.

Put it in bold for the half-wit who can’t seem to understand. It’s also unfair when the student choreograph the routines themselves.

So unfair. MCPS should fire all the teachers so the students should fairly teach themselves.

It's not fair for any team to have a good coach, unless every team can.

If the coach was paid more than the standard MCPS salary because of parents chipping in, then that doesn't seem fair in the context of public schools. But, I don't know if that happened here...
