Men and motor cycles

I’ve ridden for 30 years. I do it because I like it. Because *I* like it. IDGAF if you like it.

I know it’s dangerous (mostly because of people like the ones reading this thread).

I know one of you could kill me because you’re on your phone while trying to keep your white Range Rover in the lane.

I know the risks. I accept them because to me it’s worth it to feel like I do when I’m on my bike. If I didn’t ride, I’d be like you. And I think it’s worth risking my life to NOT be like you. Because being like you is worse than merely dying.

And if one of you DOES manage to kill me on my bike, I’m well insured and my family will be well taken care of financially, even before they sue you, forcing you to sell your home in Cherrydale or McLean.

So stop trying to understand why. You never will. We’re just different people.

And lots more boring people who never did anything fun in their lives die every weekend, too.

It’s a better alternative than dying alone surrounded by a dozen cats who will start to eat you before anyone realizes they haven’t seen you in a week and looks in on you.

You go your way. I’ll go mine.

No, but the family usually ends up with a huge settlement after the SUV crash due to the injuries/death.
