Are all Dutch ovens the same?

We have ceramic Dutch ovens by Emile Henri - they are stove and oven safe and are significantly lighter than cast iron while still having similar heat retention.

We got ours 20 years ago and there is not a chip or scratch on it.

We've thrown away the couple of pieces that we got for our wedding. The chipped and rusted under the chip. Our Staub dutch oven is still great though

You should have tested the warranty.

Another no for the Martha Stewart.

I have both Le Creuset and Lodge. I’d recommend lodge to anyone who isn’t looking for a decoration. Unbreakable, as long as you season it regularly and deeply when needed.Le Creuset is great but a little more finicky and fragile; it sure is pretty though.

The Amazon house brand works great.

Le Cruset cleans up beautifully

+1. I have LC and Staub, but Lodge would be my choice if I wanted a budget pick. It’ll perform just as well as the other two.

Between LC and Staub, I have a slight preference for Staub if you’re looking for a basic 5.5 quart or 7 quart round model. But I own pieces from both and they’re both great.

Costco has the smaller Le Creusets sometimes

I’m a total cheapskate, but it was worth every penny.

My Le Cruset is in great shape at about 18 years. My mother's is still in good shape after about 55-60 years. She rarely uses it now because it's too heavy for her (she's 91), but I still see it when I go home to visit. She used it regularly for a little over 40 years without a problem.

Prices for Lodge at Marshall’s are better than Amazon’s

I got a Food Network brand dutch oven from Kohl's as a gift about 12 years ago and it's still looking and working great.

It's always funny to me when people purport to love something but can't spell it to save their lives.

It's "Le Creuset," folks.

Mine is about 25 years old and looks great! I’d love to still have it when I’m 91!
