No. I'm in VA. If you are turning left on green you need to wait for the opposite traffic to turn right on green. Now, I know of a few intersections where the people turning right stop on green to allow the opposing traffic to turn left in front of them. If I'm behind them (turning right and stopped on green) I do hit the horn. |
Nope. You’re in the wrong. I missed this question on my written exam all those years ago and have never forgotten it since. Left turn goes in left lane, right in right. If you’re turning right in left you’re doing it wrong |
Uh, no. That's the exact opposite of the rules of the road in every state. Your driving exam also taught you this, but you forgot. You are a shitty driver, probably from the suburbs, and I'd bet my next 3 paychecks that you don't know how to parallel park in the city. Correct? |
I know the rule. But my point was that the right turning cars never stop (there are too many of them). Not one single car can turn left during the green light because of it. It backs up the intersection. There’s plenty of chances for them to make right turns on red, but they like to wait for the green light. |
I guess I’m not understanding the point of stating the part in bold. Do you expect them to stop? I’ve never really seen people not turn right on red unless it was prohibited. |
+1 |
That is exactly what you should do. I always wondered who needs 2-3 lanes to make a right-hand turn. Guess now I know. People who can’t handle basics like turning and changing lanes. |
| Are they making a left on their green arrow? Are you making a right on red? If making a right on red you have to yield otherwise the right has the rightbof way. |
WRONG. This is exactly the dumbass mindset that leads to stupid wrecks that create 2 hour traffic jams. If you’re turning left, you wait. Don’t try and gun it into the left lane assuming the right turner is going to turn into the right lane. THEY DON’T HAVE TO. This happens all the time at an intersection near me. Guess what, dipshit? There’s a quick left immediately after the right turn, so many people right turn into the left lane. They have the right of way to do so. I routinely bait your kind into trying to turn then cut you off. Leaving you mid intersection like an impotent prick. |
