MCPS tech people can you please make the gradebook useful

Actually, about 6 years ago some kid made an app that downloaded info from synergy and made it useful. All the kids used it. Not sure it still exists.


No -- it was pretty clear that they got a cease and desist letter from synergy. My teen wanted to program a new one and I discouraged that since it sounded like a legal headache.


Please share more about this. Getting in "trouble" for this is a perfect hook forgetting into a T20!

You don't seem to know how tech works. The kids probably worked off a public API that allowed them to query the MCPS database for students who wanted to provide their own logins. They probably troubleshooted on their own accounts or their own data. They wouldn't have access to actual data other than their own.

MCPS customized it and they did a terrible job.
