Is Einstein the obvious choice for this kid?

Would you put Einstein first and be done? Are there other schools you'd think about putting first?

He really doesn't want to ride a bus, and where we live he could easily bike to Einstein or Blair.

The instrumental music director will welcome him with open arms. Mr Casement has been nothing but supportive and encouraging, and he’s always on the lookout for talent.

If he’s serious about instrumental music, your son should send Mr Casement an email in the spring and ask about opportunities for next year, in case he needs to send in an audition video. The most advanced in-school classes would be Symphonic Band or Jazz Ensemble, but there are lots of other musical opportunities outside of classes. There are also several choral ensembles, some with classes attached.
