Are they still starting classes at 12:15? My kids at RM aren’t taking the PSAT and are sleeping in and I’m dropping them off at 12.

Do you think they want kids to come in earlier? Or they’ll cancel the whole day?

Our school changed to a 2-hour delay schedule instead.

How can they do that last minute?

Anonymous wrote:My understanding from my kid’s private school is that there is a glitch that makes the Bluebook app not work on IOS devices that have been updated to IOS 17.

In our small private school setting, where kids’ iPad are managed by the school, we were able to find replacement devices for the students who had updated, but it was a scramble since notification about the issue came out from College Board after dismissal. But in a larger school with fewer resources I can see how delaying would make more sense.

This year’s PSAT had more choices of dates on which it could be administered so it’s probably not cancelled, just postponed.

So if they're on MacBooks or iPads, it could be a problem. FCPS has chromebooks and were able to get in eventually.

PP here,

We're at a 1:1 iPad school, so it's possible that there were also issues with Chromebooks. We wouldn't have been notified about those.

What can go wrong when they have every 10th and 11th grader signing on at the same time?!?

Which school?

I'm not in MCPS but the subject caught my eye. DS's private in DC just sent a message that everything was fine on the school's end but the College Board system couldn't handle the volume. Or so they say. What a mess

Freshman and seniors are not there. That’s 1/2 the school

the issue is due to the app not functioning on some.of the older chromebooks. my daughters chromebook is so old and glitchy we tried multiple times to have the school giver her a new one. they refused.
we ended up just buying her a cheap laptop.
it is infuriating that not all the kids have the same technology. some have iPads, some have 5 year old chromebooks.
but let's keep spending money on diversity, lawsuits, and other stupid initiatives.

I’m out of the area but our district cancelled. Couldn’t get it to work on MacBooks.
