Apple recipes?

Roasted apples with walnuts are a simple dessert if you have family members who aren’t big on sweets. I choose small apples, core them, and then stuff with chopped walnuts, warm spices, and butter. They go in the oven until they start to caramelize. I love sweets so I add a drizzle of maple syrup to mine, but the rest of my family just digs in.

This apple jelly is a bit of work but the result is worth it.

I made this and it is great! I don't care for cake much, but liked this bc the flour ratio is lower. My family had theirs with a scoop of ice cream.

I'm not the person from upthread talking about apple bread, but I have made one for years, and everyone loves it. I use this recipe

Boo. You lost me at the fat free cream cheese and margarine. I had high hopes

You can use butter and regular cream cheese. It will taste just as good.

Can confirm. This is DH’s favorite cake!

If I added a crumble topping, would it be too much?

Even though it's the wrong season for it religiously, I'm going to make apple matzoh pudding.

I think so, because the amount of cinnamon sugar left to sprinkle on top is pretty generous (like 1/4" thick once baked). You could reduce that and replace it with a crumble, maybe, but the bake time is pretty long due to the moisture content so it might not turn out well.

I made this yesterday, using butter and regular cream cheese. I also added a bit of butter to the cinnamon/sugar topping, and mixed it with crushed pecans. It was perfect.

Sautee chicken apple sausage with cabbage and tart apples. Onions optional.

Apple turnovers! Thaw a half package of frozen puff pastry. Cook apple slices with some cinnamon and sugar, put a dollop in a square of puff pastry and fold it into a triangle, egg wash on top, and bake.

I was going to say something similar.

Crumble hot Italian sausage, and brown then add diced granny smith apples and onion, and cook until the onions are translucent and the apples softened.

One of my kids' favorite dinners, fast and easy.
