Pretty gym

After I do a hard class then I do a class called Surrender which is all about clearing your head, stretching (it's yin yoga) and blissing out. It's a beautiful facility with a spa, salon, whirlpool, sauna, steamroom (eucalyptus scented). It's pricey but I'm spending a ridiculous amount of time there. There are common areas, too, and they feel like a hotel.

This sounds lovely and too rich for my blood, but I’ll investigate, thanks!

Lifetime is the prettiest and cleanest I’ve seen.

Agreed. It’s $180/month.

Did you check OneLife Bethesda?

No I went to Tenley, which in fairness, is old and closing when the new one at City Ridge opens. Crunch was dark with no windows and it felt like a cave. I didn’t realize how much I care about windows but I do.

One life Bethesda felt open and fairly light to me although I was mostly swimming and had to give it up so I dropped my membership a couple years ago.

OP here and I joined a gym! OneLife Fitness at Pike & Rose. Membership is $59/month, which gives me access to the new club in NWDC (and lots of other locations). I loved the vibe at Pike & Rose - brightly lit with big windows and a mix of ages and abilities - and it’s between my office and home. The new Tenleytown location will be closer to my home so I’ll give that a try too. I won’t have access to Bethesda and the old Tenleytown location isn’t appealing, but I’m very happy to have two good options that are close to work and home.

Not unless they remodeled it. It had a very 70s vibe as recently as a few years ago.

LA Fitness and 24 Hour Fitness are not super fancy like Equinox but they are way better than what OP is descrbing.

Don’t remember the name but there is the gym where Marshall’s and Home Goods are at the corner of 123 and 7 in the old Borders Books spot.

Their top tier is only $35-40/ month. Not huge, but clean.
