Don Beyer is great. We have bought five cars from them over the years.

They know their market and are not going to compete on the margins of price. It is not a low-priced dealer. It is a dealer that provides a higher degree of service and customer experience than most others I’ve experienced. (It is head and shoulders above Lindsay Volvo, for example.)

For example, there was a brief window last year when the top-trim Volvo PHEVs were eligible for the full $7500 tax credit (there was only a half model year where they had the increased the battery capacity before the new regs with price caps and battery sourcing rules went into effect.) We wanted one in an impossible-to-find configuration. There were only a couple shipped to the US that year. Don Beyer found one, horse traded with another dealer to get it for me, and then ensured it made it here on time so I could get it in service in time to get the full tax credit.

I’ve also found the Falls Church service department (esp. Sean) to be reliable, communicative, and fair. (So long as you are still doing dealer service. With a Volvo, you should get the extended service plan, which makes lost-warranty dealer servicing feasible.)
