Whether someone is having a hard time shouldn't matter. Someone in that park is murdering women. Think we should we focus on that part of the equation. Arrest and - in my opinion - execute the murderers. Victim blaming is always awful. It betrays a total lack of empathy

PP's use of betrays is correct.

But even if it weren't, picking on a wrong word is hardly a rebuttal of her excellent point, which is that asking what the victim was doing in a campground misses the point and shifts the blame away from her murderer.


It doesn't miss the point at all. If homeless people start living in Burke Lake Park, there will be an increase in crime, bad behavior, etc.
