It’s for a mistress.
. Oh she will love it then.

Get a knock-off. She won't notice, and you won't feel out when the relationship ends.

OP here. Her mother was a dear friend of mine. While her tastes are not my own, I’d like to get her something she actually wants.

In my opinion, she cares too much about what her friends think, but she’s also the type to accept a gift without complaint — even if she dislikes it.

I’m too old to know what young women are into these days.

Ahhh that is the thing about these bracelets. They are what you call a “classic” and they have always been “in” and recognizable since the 70s. Ignore the haters.
There was an uptick in recent years because it has been trending. Is it still tad trendy as it was 3-5 years ago? Maybe not, but if you like it, it will hold its value and won’t ever be considered dated.

It is a solid, well-made, attractive and overpriced piece of jewelry. Buy it if your budget allows.

Absolutely. The young people are all about them.
Anonymous
No, they are taxky.

Wait, did her mother (your friend) pass away? Maybe you could get her a more personalized/sentimental piece of jewelry?
