I don’t. So many cheap rich people. They’re the absolute dregs of society. |
The “dregs” that support over half the US with their tax contributions |
| Getting super slow or non existent service in a restaurant is a problem. You are paying a premium amount for sit down service and a minimum standard is expected. If you don’t get that…you are essentially paying for something you didn’t receive. Seems logical to receive a portion off. Seems completely illogical to pay even more (even higher tip) because the server was too busy to serve you? But that is I guess that is the new standard. Instead of restaurants limiting number of guests to whom they can actually serve at a reasonable standard, they pack in as many people as possible to make more money, meanwhile paying servers pennies, customers receive crap service, but oh look at the server running around, let’s tip even more. It’s some crazy restaurant experience to make more, and keep paying employees terribly. |
And I’m sure the rich people “supporting” the U.S. are self made folks who pulled themselves up by their bootstraps . I’m sure they started their company with ONLY $1 million in seed money from Mom & Dad! |
Kicking and screaming. |
Yes to all this. A lot of places are understaffed. I have not noticed people complaining in an attempt to get something off the bill. We eat out at sit down places (as opposed to fast casual) less because things are more expensive now and service usually bad. I'd rather do that than try to nickel and dime the staff. |
This multi-millionaire started life in an orphanage. I don’t even know who my parents are let alone have gotten a dime from them! |
+1 One summer evening we were eating at a nice Bethesda restaurant. There was a young solo woman at a table nearby having dinner, drinks, dessert, and then---just when it was time for the bill to arrive, screamed loudly that she saw a mouse on the floor (no one else did as all eyes diverted to the floor). Server came right over, then manager, and they offered to take full 100% care of her bill. And Poof! Just like that she was out the door. Have zero doubt there was a mouse. Am guessing she pulls the complaining card for discounts elsewhere. |
| Zero chance there was a mouse. sorry! |
