Job 2 has potential to be about $300-$350k more over 5 y than job 1. Job 3 is a lot less. But that all depends if I bring in business.

I’m old enough and senior enough that I don’t have kids at home and flexibility isn’t super important, but work culture and compensation are. (I make less than your J3 and have no bonus). So I’d pick J2.

Am 40s and have elementary aged kids so flex is important. J3 may have bonus but very discretionary. Potential for advancement is an issue but I think they all have that.

PP. Since you’re younger and value flex, I’d pick J3 in your shoes. More rewarding long term, more flexible now. You sacrifice money for quality of life.

Oh interesting! I was sort of assuming I should not take that one bc the tc is about 50% of the potential tc of #2

PP. It’s a values choice. You’ll notice that I’m more advanced in age and career stage than you but make less than J3, so you can see that I’ve chosen fulfillment over money. I have no quarrel if you choose the other way!
