Worth it to ask, but I'd think that if everyone in the office comes in 4x/wk and you are the new person with a sweetheart more flexible deal, that could set you up for some friction out of the gate.

Op yes I agree.
I forgot how much I hate the part where you get a job offer but then have to have awkward negotiations. My anxious self does not thrive

I just had the same thing happen but the company advertised the job as remote but the consulting customer “prefers people on the office.” And that didn’t work for me so I declined and said why. I heard from the recruiter that it is impossible to fill this:senior level told because of the in office all the time requirement but I knew o had no desire to go downtown 5 days a week. I have been working at home for 12 years
