The RMIB kids don't talk about about grades? Mmmmmmmmmkay. |
It kinda does. The grade calculation is the same, and redos are allowed all the time. Yes, the curriculum is difficult, but the grading is rather lenient. |
| My junior has an UW 3.87 or something. I think maybe 2 Bs in the first two years. |
| Does RMIB still have homework or is it going the way of the rest of the county? |
These days at your average MCPS HS about 30% of the class has an UW 4.0, but it's a bit more real at RM. |
not sure what county your kids are in but between Functions and APUSH DC has plenty of homework |
+1 My non RMIB has HW, albeit, not a ton. The other DC who graduated from RMIB last year also had a lot of HW. |
Don't they have a profile just for the magnet? |

They aren’t allowed redos, as you suggest. If they are, it’s not very often. |
| Redos depend on the teacher. Some friend groups talk about grades; some don’t. RMIB kids get A at 89.5 like the rest of the school. Yes to homework. There are also many out of class writing assignments. |
This is the most accurate response so far. |
| A particular friend group may not talk much about grades but they compare grades in classes so it's not like your child can claim ignorance. |
You missed the point some kids don’t compare grades. |
of course they do |
