Please explain from a capitalist business perspective why anyone ought to be financing a failed project? Women’s football/soccer is of Null interest in the grand scheme of things. If you want to thump your chest and come off as an egalitarian then props to you but you’re not fooling anyone

The top couple teams in the European leagues are better than the NWSL but the median teams are not better than the median NWSL team.

Sure Americans are happy to play for Arsenal or Chelsea but they aren’t going to get better playing for West Ham or Everton.

Feel free to be ignorant but NWSL revenues and team valuations are increasing at huge rates, certainly faster than men’s teams n

Women's soccer has plenty of interest. Last year NWSL averaged more than 10K per match for the second year in a row. Teams are losing money but they are generating much more than in the past and are supposedly worth now more than $100M. Some of USWNT's matches have been among the most watched in the United States.

Yes, NWSL team are a huge investment right now with double-digit return on investment each year. At the average team's value increased by 57% last year alone.
