There are kids from all around the area—SYC, McLean, Bethesda, Loudoun, etc. Most players look as if they are on the higher tier teams in their respective clubs and that raises the bar for participants.

Yes, it's for skills development. If you haven't developed core skills by 15, soccer probably isn't going to be your thing.

Silly thing to say. Once you develop "core" skills at 12 or younger, do you stop working on these skills or not continue to fine tune against good competition?

How big of an age range do you want them to provide? U5 to U23? They have about 8 age groups out there. Can't be everything to everybody.
