laughing and hitting/touching you

I know what you are talking about OP. I don't like it if anyone outside of close family/friends does it, but I don't care enough to say anything on those times when that happens.

A long time ago in a social setting where a bunch of moms were laughing about a story, one of the moms was laughing and sort of gently slapped my leg twice. I understand doing this with maybe your family, friends, siblings but I didn't know the mom that well.

Would you consider this odd? Or that she was having a rip roaring good time and needed someone to "slap".

Not odd - just a tad overly familiar but not a big deal

OP here. Random stuff pops into my head and I like to post. Sometimes little things happen when you are younger (20's, 30's) and you might feel a little weird but you let it go.

But then you grow up and realize how weird everything is and just want to make sure.

I completely get knee slapping with friends but this was a mom group I was a part of for a short while when I had my first baby.

This particular mother sat next to me and was laughing at a story but she touched (gently hit) my leg (above my knee) twice as she was laughing about the story. I am assuming good intentions but at the time, I felt a twinge of discomfort as I didn't "know" her that well.

It sounds like it was just normal for her and I was just a little uncomfortable.

Sounds like sexual assault. Get a lawyer.
