Yes, it's called adulthood. I can pretty much buy myself anything I'd want (within reason) yet the older I get, the harder it is to find ways to splurge or treat myself. I'm too practical to spend money on overpriced materials things or experiences simply because they're fun--yet buying things I actually need doesn't feel special either.
Honestly, I appreciate the gesture, but I'd rather people NOT give me money as gifts. I don't need any gifts at all! |
