2.5 year old son who only wants daddy

Both my boys (2 and 4.5) are total momma's boys. They are always asking for me 24/7. I think the dynamic will shift later.

Actually, my dd only cries out "Daddy" at night, because she knows her mom sleeps like a log!!

First off, your child prefers one parent over another, not a teacher/daycare provider/neighbor/whatever. So that's a good thing. Second, it does change and go thru stages. Third: you're entitled to feel jealous, resentment and frustration.

I could have written your post! My 2.5 -year-old DD told me today, "I Love Daddy". Pause. "I don't Love you, mommy". Pause. "Can you cry now?" I actually thought she would turn around and tell me she loved me too, but no, she just repeated it a few times, for extra effect. I try to play it cool, and wait for the wind to change
