S/O - Have you gone or would you go to a concert by yourself?

I went to a concert alone last year because I couldn't find someone to go with me (original friend had to travel for work). Ended up chatting with the guy who was alone right behind me, who had broken up with his girlfriend so didn't have a companion. I was glad I got to see one of my favorite artists.

I go to concerts (and other events) alone all the time. I'm not going to miss out on experiences just because someone else doesn't want to go. I find it easiest to go alone. I can pick the tickets I want and not worry about someone else's budget or opinion.

This is me too. Sometimes I don’t even bother asking others to go. Saw Beyonce by myself. Go to the ballet, plays etc alone. If I want to do something I typically do it and don’t need anyone to join me. Of course I enjoy when someone wants to join me.

I'm not a big concert person but DH has gone alone to concerts a few times for a band that he has seen many times that I have no interest in seeing over and over again. He always has fun and because he is alone, can usually get a much better seat. I have no issue with him spending the same amount he would for both of us to go on one ticket for himself.

Yes, I love it! It's nice to not have to worry about whether someone else is enjoying it as much as I am. And to be able to leave a little early if I want. (introvert here)

I just pulled the trigger on going alone. I got my ticket and am going alone. It kind of sucks that I can’t find friends who have similar musical tastes.

See if there is a subreddit for the band/act. You may find folks to meet up with before the show, then you will have new friends with musical tastes. Have fun!

I’ve gone to several concerts alone. My husband and I don’t have the same taste in music, and I’m not spending money on a ticket for him if he’s going to hate it.

I’m of the generation where members of my favorite bands are dying, so I’m going to as many concerts as I can.

I accidentally did last week. My boyfriend did on purpose a couple months ago. We both had incredible experiences.
