He has been demoted and will not be coming back.

He's one of several people who were principals last year and are now assistant principals this year.

Fortunately MCPS doesn't adhere to the Peter Principle for principals, and find a useful place for them when they get promoted beyond their competencies.

Who else was moved from principal to AP this past year? Shoulda happened to my principal! Do they get to keep the principal salary?

Yes, they get to keep the principal salary unfortunately.

Wow, that’s nuts. In what other industry do people get demoted but get to keep their former salary? Is that standard in other districts or )use an MCPS thing? That seems worthy of its own story!

It looks like Monifa and Central Office believe a lot of the misfires and dysfunction in MCPS are due to bad principals. I’m not saying that’s entirely wrong, but they need to be willing to hold themselves as accountable as they’re holding these principals.

If they wanted to keep the dirty deets of the job contained wouldn't they do that. Well I guess those jobs are for the privileged few and dcum forum is where the rest of us can enlighten the public as to how the system is really run.

The ongoing classroom crime is an atrocity.

Teacher unions are corrupt as hell.

OK? Administrators aren't represented by the teachers union.

No but they can peddle influence to paint a picture of the teachers as the " the bad people".
