| My son's team will be playing in the EDP Futures league at the Soccerplex. Does anyone know when schedules might be posted? Thank you., |
| My sons team posted it on the app a few days ago. So it seems that the teams know. It was not appear to be on the edp website yet though. |
Is this it? https://system.gotsport.com/org_event/events/24452 |

That is EDP but for EDP up in NY/NJ area.
Assuming we are talking about the same league, I think you want to search for EDP Futures Soccerplex MD League. Looks like the schedule listed here is still from Spring: https://www.edpsoccer.com/edp-futures-soccerplex-maryland-league It does show the teams and divisions for the Fall: https://system.gotsport.com/org_event/events/24463/teams?showall=groups |
| Wow, looking like more robust participation than previous years. |

Saw an old thread about this but did not really see a clear answer. And it sounds like participation has changed significantly.
Does anyone with experience know how the top division of NCSL compares to the top division of EDP futures? I know someone is thinking it does not matter for U10 but purely just curious why a club might choose one over the other (other than field location). It looks like quality clubs in both, but for instance a club like Bethesda seem to do NCSL at that age instead. At a glance, it seems like bigger clubs (i.e. Bethesda, Arlington, DCSC, Alexandria) do NCSL and smaller EDP futures. Maybe there is anything to that? NCSL teams: http://www.ncsl-soccer.com/division-structure EDP teams: https://system.gotsport.com/org_event/events/24463/teams?utf8=%E2%9C%93&search%5Bgroup%5D=m_10&showall=groups&commit=Search |
| Not sure about EDP Futures, but NCSL is really easy to deal with at younger ages. I find their scheduling, referee assigning to be easier than regular EDP. Regular EDP you have to schedule all your own games. Huge burden on managers. For younger teams, it may just be easier to do NCSL. |

This is why in Belgium, Germany and some other European countries, there are no League Standings before U14's
That way Coaches can leave their egos at home and focus on developing the kids. No pressure from obsessed parents living vicariously through W's and L's |
This comment makes no sense bc they don't post scores for futures or the younger ncsl. I do think they start around u11 for ncsl. |
The comment that "makes no sense" to you are facts. What part don't you understand? |
You are not looking in the correct location. You're looking at South Atlantic which is different than edp leagues (lower level). |
Here you go - link to the regular EDP League - https://system.gotsport.com/org_event/events/24442 |
Thanks but that was exactly where I was looking. Scroll down and you will just see colors instead of numbers at u16. And for the mini-fall which we will play in, no differentiation. But perhaps that will come closer to the season. |
It wasn't understanding. Parents cant "live* vicariously through W's and L's" if they don't post scores in edp futures or younger ncsl (which is what the topic was). |
