Shows you once loved, but found painful on rewatch

Sixteen Candles, Revenge of the Nerds -- racist and/or sexual harrassment

Dukes of Hazzard and Knight Rider -- the special effects and story lines seem a lot less realistic now.

The Breakfast Club -homophobia and a confederate flag on the upper level of the library, among other things.

National Lampoon's Vacation.

Roseanne and The Cosby Show could have been great for a longer. Alas, bad behavior by the lead ruined terrific ensembles.

Friends and Seinfeld do not hold up. They are better as a 90s time capsule.

Firefly, for the same reason + we now know Nathan Fillion is an unpleasant person at best.

Most 80s/90s shows, even if they hold up in other respects, seem to have random "you're ok for a girl" language thrown in. It's really jarring.

+1. I still mostly enjoy watching it, but I find myself way more annoyed by their character flaws now.

Buffy, Firefly, Friends, and Seinfeld all hold up for me. I can watch them endlessly (but still silently cursing Whedon while watching).

I tried to rewatch Felicity and didn’t make it very far. It was so, so boring. Probably less noticeable to me back when I had to wait a week between episodes.

I somehow enjoyed Entourage the first time around. My husband was re-watching and I couldn't believe that as a woman I ever found it entertaining.

Seems sooooo cheesy when you rewatch it. Especially season 1.
