This is the OP, thank you for all of your replies! And to the last poster, yes, it is expensive. But this is a birthday gift.

I have one last question. How much turnaround time do they need? For instance if I am going to get one of the chef meal kits from a restaurant in California, should I order it a week ahead of time?

It's good and I give their gift cards all the time to friends, especially friends that move away and miss food from their hometown.
