The shooter had two kids

So they found his skeleton on April 4. They don’t know when he died so it’s possible he was fatally wounded during the September gunfight with police and he went to a park to hide and die

Most certainly police would have notified Wolf’s family.

They didn’t make a public statement because it is not in their policies to announce when cases close due to death of the suspect. That policy is likely because it doesn’t look all that good and gives no credit to the police when cases resolve this way, death of suspect at large.

but it’s possible he died from wounds in the gun fight with police. The medical examiner hasn’t determined the date of death
