Why do I get called for jury duty but my husband doesn’t?

When we lived in DC, both DH and I got called every two years like clock work. I was chosen a lot (I think because I am female and a minority).

Neither of us have gotten called in MoCo in 8 years.

Another DC lawyer here. The last time I served, there were three other lawyers on the jury.

I am a lawyer and live in DC and have been called every 2 years for both DC and Federal since the mid- 90s so at this point I've gone over 20 times - I hate the Federal but have found they have really worked to make the DC one less stressful. My husband gets called randomly but no where near as often as lucky me. I have always been stricken off by one side or the other but usually am doubly lucky to get slotted near the front of the line so have to sit in the jury box until they release me. It's interesting I know several male lawyer co-workers who have served over teh years but have never met another female lawyer who was selected
