Really Good NY Bagels En Route Boston - DC

Anonymous
Really most places in NJ and NY are better than DC area. Just go somewhere like Panera or Einstein.

DH and I are from NY/NJ but we always get them when we visit my BIL and SIL in NJ. But we like the local shop around the corner from their house.

I did a “Search along route” and Teaneck Road Hot Bagels came up as not far out of your way if you take the GWB. The reviews are very good and that area has alot of orthodox families and is very Jewish. I’d give them a try!

And apparently Food and Wine magazine rated them best in the nation . https://www.northjersey.com/story/entertainment/dining/2021/03/17/teaneck-road-hot-bagels-nj-named-best-bagels-food-wine/4663784001/

Better at NY style bagels?

Or it’s a different style?

NY style

Bagel place in Annapolis is better at NY-style bagels than 90% of the places in NJ/NY?

OK...

The water in NY/NJ is special and makes the dough amazing for bagels, try Wonder Bagels in Jersey City, NJ!

I can confirm that these are pretty good. I'm convinced they're still better from NY, but this is a good alternative that's might be more convenient for you.

Sammy’s in Scarsdale, right off the Hutch, is what you’re looking for. Open on Saturdays too.
