Exactly, kids have better media literacy than older generations, and are less impressed by this stunt.

250k followers minimum is where you need to be to get brand deals and anything good from revenue share, so they have a long ways to go before that happens meaningfully. Their tik toks are pretty cringey right now.

I am constantly reminded of the talking walls in Fahrenheit 451 (the fireman’s wife was addicted to her interaction with “people” in her electronic walls — I can’t remember if it was explicitly stated but I think they were basically AI “people” that she purchased access to. She valued them over her relationship with her husband. We are basically there already.

I feel like with AI we are where the Internet was in the 1990s. No one could’ve dreamed what it would explode into and how it transform everyone’s lives the same thing is gonna happen w/AI.
