Whatever you buy, break them in to see how they go. I’m breaking in some Hoka sneakers right now. They are very light, but some of them run narrow.

You must be joking! They’re hideous

Agree do not wear these.

My eyes! Those are some of the ugliest shoes. Anything is better.

Okay, wear Vans then and destroy your arches on day one and hobble around the rest of the time. No one cares what you’re wearing on your feet, but you will if they are killing you.

How old are you? You might be much older than OP so that this suggestion isn't very helpful.

Agree with Nike Air Force Ones as super popular, if you can pull them off. Otherwise, plain all white sneakers.

New Balance is also really popular, more so in Europe than here.

Lol at sneakers and dresses. Clearly you don’t care what you look like so why ask here?

I'm from Paris. Bear in mind that summers are traditionally when roadwork is most intense, as they wait until half the population leaves on vacation to fix the roads, and anything underneath. So there's a lot of dust! I've never worn sandals in Paris, nor have my parents. When it's warm, we have breathable mesh sneakers and then maybe flats or a closed-toe heel for going out, and when it's cold women wear little ankle booties or pumps for work. But flip flop type things or open sandals like Keens are a big no-no, your feet will be so dirty.

I'd just wear your normal sneakers and not buy anything new.

I'm loving APL right now, and not just because they are fashionable but because they are comfy. https://www.athleticpropulsionlabs.com/?gclid=Cj0KCQjw_O2lBhCFARIsAB0E8B9obhjR3eMnA03dH2dgXL7TJqnclP-QkDf9Kscpypza37UamNbVf3kaAuyJEALw_wcB

Take this opinion back to 1997 where it belongs. Dresses, at least casual ones, are well styled with sneakers all the time now by extremely fashionable people.

OMG, agree -- those are horribly ugly.

I love my Vejas. I've never found flat sneakers very comfortable but can wear these for days and be comfortable. Op- I would try a few pairs like vejas, new balance, nikes and see what is most comfortable for you. Comfort is key! And bring some moleskin patches in case they start to rub. Have fun!

I love my vans and have walked miles in Paris and many other cities while wearing them. I have no problems with them, everyone’s feet are different

I am taking adidas sambas to my Europe trip this summers. I find them stylish and comfy for walking around.
