Allowance and money for 6yo

Mine is 10. I started allowance at 6 and it has always been tied to chores and seems to be working fine.

He currently gets a dollar a week for each of the following

1) keeping room tidy and making bed daily
2) folding and putting away his laundry
3) unloading the dishwasher
4) feeding the cats morning and evening
5 and 6) cat litter morning and evening (this one he negotiated $2 instead of 1 - l agree it deserves more!! And l’m kind of proud of him for a good negotiation)

When he does yard work l give him extra screen time, not more $$.
