| Vaping doesn't bother me but I call them adult binkies. It's kind of pathetic to see grown people clutching them everywhere they go and taking them out for a drag every few minutes. |
| As someone who grew up with parents that smoked, I friggin hate tobacco or all kinds. I shouldn’t have to move away from vapers and smokers. There is a second- and third-hand effect. People just need to obey the rules and go to a designated smoking area. |
Some people act as if you can get lung cancer from passing smokers on the sidewalk. The externalities of second hand smoke on non smokers is from prolonged exposure in enclosed indoor spaces, such as working in smoking bars or living with a smoker who smoked indoors. And prolonged means multiple years to decades. Based on some of the beliefs and fears surrounding second hand smoke these days, you'd think it amazing anyone survived pre 1990 America. The only real unpleasantness I had with vapers was visiting our London offices. The men's bathroom stalls are the fully enclosed kinds, and they reeked of a fug that was most likely the accumulated vape smoke. The fug is more annoying than unpleasant. In the US I rarely see vaping out and about but I imagine it's more common on college campuses. Kids will survive. Just like we did when smoking was allowed in the dorms in the 1990s. |

Much ado about nothing except for those who will always find something to complain about

| you're upset about people vaping outside in non-designated smoking areas? get over yourself |

I vape a Juul in public, but I don’t exhale any vapor. Seriously, zero exhale of anything. Maybe I don’t hit it hard enough? You can’t smell it, and none of my friends mind me using it in their house. They much prefer I Juul than smoke, I used to smell so bad!
I get it though, the people who use those big vaporizers and exhale big plumes of vapor that smell of fruit, etc in public are being rude. |

I feel like DCUM is turning into Nextdoor. Just antisocial people who should live in the country but for some reason chose the city.
|
| Imagine getting your panties in a bunch over the offensive odor of Strawberry Banana or Lush Grape Ice. |
| What bothers me is you can't tell if it's nicotine or weed. Vaping has become totally ubiquitous and you can no longer trust that people aren't getting into their cars and driving everywhere impaired with that damn thing in their hands. We aren't taking the potential impacts seriously enough, especially for kids. It scares the hell out of me. |
most of the people I see vaping are teens. |
