OP I totally understand how you feel. We lost our boy suddenly a few months ago. One minute he was fine and the next we were saying goodbye. There was no time to process or prepare and it wrecked me. Be patient with yourself and grieve on your timetable. Sending good thoughts your way.

I’m so sorry, OP. As far as how it ended, please know that pets are such a unique part of our lives because we are burdened with the weight of having to choose when the time comes in a way that we never would with humans. That’s a hard concept to wrap our heads around but it’s also a gift to be able to avert or shorten the pain of our loved animals. Don’t beat yourself up over it. When your mind goes to the euthanasia, remind yourself of the happy times you spent with your pet.

Sorry Op we lost our dear dog in March and it while it hurts nothing hurt more than right after. Occasionally she comes to me in my dreams.

It’s a common practice to bring food to people who are grieving or ill or injured or undergoing a stressful time.

I'm so sorry! I just experienced the loss of both of my dogs this past weekend in a similar way. It's definitely hitting me a lot harder than I thought it would. It's tough. I hope you are ok.
