Does your nanny use her own car?

Mileage is not enough as children make a mess in cats with food, muddy shoes and dirt in general.

Cars ^^ not cats!

Ours uses her own car and we pay her mileage reimbursement. She told me she prefers to use her own.

A few days a week when both of you are out? I'd have one of you Uber to work.

This isn’t a bad idea, actually. Would cost more to buy a third car at today’s prices.

My nanny doesn't have a pod car because I pay her $72,000 a year.

$72k before taxes ain’t much, FYI. We have 3 boys and our nanny/family assistant gets paid $81k/52 weeks all benefits. We ended up buying an extra car, much convenient for us and for her as she couldn’t place 3 car seats in small sedan.

That's what you got out of this? The point is that someone making over $70k a year doesn't need to drive a pos car, as another poster suggested. My nanny drives a brand new Kia telluride.

while that's a good theory in this area its not that much when you have to pay housing, health insurance, food, car note, car insurance. You should provide the car.

Your nanny makes $81k and only drives a small sedan? She doesn't sound very good with money. You should really try to find someone smarter to care for your children.

She drives that for her, probably married to afford it. But, asking her to transport three kids, presumably with car seats is a bit much to ask.

Not everyone wants a big car. I drive something even smaller than a sedan and make more than 81k

My nanny drives two kids around at least 2 days per week and her car is pristine. Where is your nanny driving your kids that they need a snack? And damn how dirty are your kids?

$81K after taxes when a one bedroom is $2-3K, and a shared space is probably $1200 or more in this area, is not a lot of money. Why should she drive a big car so she can transport your kids around. You should provide a car.

I drive a 17 yr old car and it is in great mechanical condition. I'll get a newer car when this once starts nickel and dimeing me. A fool and his money are soon parted.
