| My rising 8th grader is a bit taller than me (5'7). He turned 13 in March. |
|
Passed me in 5th grade. Now in 8th grade, hasn’t passed dad.
I’m 5’6, he’s 6’3.5 |
|
My rising 8th grade son is pretty much my height, but he's at camp now, where he always grows a ton, so I expect that he'll be taller than me when he comes home.
My HS daughter is now taller than me too. My kids love to remind me that I'm now the shortest person in our family. |
| Rising 8th grader nowhere near my height and I'm not tall. But he still hasn't really gone through puberty changes. |
|
Rising 9th grader is exactly my height (5’5”)- he is only in early puberty (no voice change, underarm hair etc)
Rising 7th grader is 5’3” and ahead of where older DS was at the same age. Also in early stage of puberty. DH is 6’0” |
| Yes. DS1 is 12 years old (rising 7th grader) and taller than me (I'm 5'6). He's 5'9.5. I think he'll be taller than DH (6'0) by this time next year. |
| It took until my son was 15 to be taller than me. I am about 5ft 3in. |
| Growing at tween rate... I'm a little worried but hopeful that I'll be pleasantly surprised by shooting up in height in 7th or 8th |
My sons didn’t shoot up until after 9th grade. 15.5-16.5 was the big growth spurt. |
I should add he's got a late birthday - he won't be 12 til the end of the summer... |
| Rising 9th just caught me last month (5’10”). Growth has been slow and steady, no big spurts. |
| My rising 8th grader hit 6ft this year. I'm 5'6" so he passed me quite a while ago. His sister passed me then she was 10 and settled at 5'10". They were both very proud of outgrowing me 🙄 |
| It feels like my rising 7th grader has been getting taller every day for the last few weeks. I’m 5’5 and he is getting closer and closer to my eye level. |
| Rising 10th grader, 5'6" (I'm 5'7") and he was a late bloomer (went to endo the last two years, had all the test/scans etc. - she was right, he hit puberty and now he's growing. Like me, his feet are huge and they grew first - he's a mens 11/11.5 already). He has a lot of growing to do yet and I know he would be thrilled to surpass me this summer. He hasn't enjoyed being one of the shortest in his class because he hit puberty later. |
| My rising 2nd grader is 5ft... he is just half a foot shorter than his mom... |
