Available, thanks for posting! I was a little nervous after the APUSH exam thread, very glad to have the scores.

You must be new here. Please let me explain.

They are not DC’s AP scores, they are YOUR scores. Everything your DC does is a direct reflection on you. Either you were high achieving and must also have a high achieving child (what ever will the neighbors say if Larlo goes to Salisbury - lord help us all!) or you came from nothing and need to prove you have MADE IT when you kid gets into MIT.

How your kid feels about all this is 100% irrelevant.

The scores can make a difference for high-achieving kids gunning for top schools.

Not so much for other kids, whose parents of course wouldn't be as invested. Can also make a difference financially if kids earning a lot of 4s/5s end up getting a semester's worth of college credit.

Because DD is a rising college first year, and needs to show the scores to bypass some courses her advisor won't let her out of until they see her AP scores. The courses she wants could full up in the meantime.

Is that reason acceptable to you?

For us the financial piece is huge.

Although they may already be there. I seem to remember my dd (who was in Italy this time last year ) got her scores on the 4th.

No one cares that your kid was in Italy last year.

Evidently you do

Yes, we don't have any data other than GPA at this point. AP Exam scores are clarifying.

For my kid the AP exam results are really significant because she is planning to make applications to UK universities as well as US ones. In the US they provide credit and savings, and reinforce the fact the student is strong in their choice of major, in the Uk they are an entry requirement.

Same here. I almost cried when my son said he got a 4 on his AP English test. I am proud of him (I’m an English teacher) but first and foremost, he won’t have to take English 101. As a single parent paying for college, this will help.

Thank you for this tip!
We logged onto DC’s college portal. While we could not see the actual AP scores, we could see the updated transcript showing credits for AP/ equivalent courses!

I would love to know what college is this efficient.

Why are you reading this thread?

Why do you care?

Why does anyone read any topic/thread on this board?

Why does anyone care about anything?

These are the deep deep questions we should all ponder.
