If you move somewhere that has had pets, and you’re sensitive to that, get a new washer and dryer. Hair really builds up on the inside. Or take the panels off to clean the machine.

Yes. Cleaned, toilet seats changed, air filters replaced.

Yes. Hired a company to do it after we had carpets ripped out and hardwood stained.

Theoretically, if they do a move-out clean then you don't really need to do an intensive move-in clean unless the place has been sitting empty for a while. I would do it myself before move-in. Focus on bathrooms and kitchen -appliances, counters, sinks, toilets, door handles, floors.

Yes but I found the first deep clean after we moved in to be more valuable. The people we bought from had done a good move out clean so the first one we paid for was a bit superfluous. The second one got rid of all the move chaos which was great.

Our builder provided that service before we moved in. FREE. And I really really REALLY appreciated it too.

Yup. Our house was previously rented and basic maintenance wasn't great. A fresh coat of paint and deep cleaning, and some floor work made it feel new.

We got our house deep cleaned and had the floors refinished and the carpets cleaned before we moved in and I am so glad we did! The house had a weird smell and now it is gone. We changed the appliances too.
