| I have seen a lot of people offering "move out" cleans on their websites, but no "move in" cleans. Is this a thing? Should we get it professionally cleaned before we move in? |
| We did not have entire house cleaned but we did have the floors cleaned throughout and it made a huge difference. So much easier before moving in furniture. |
I did. Also replaced the old toilets.
|
| We did. Deep cleaned. Worth it. |
| Yes, my dh told the cleaning service that he wanted everything deep cleaned, including every shelf, every drawer, the whole inside of the fridge, absolutely everything. He’s kind of paranoid. The previous owners had had their cleaning lady clean after they moved out, but she left behind a ton of fur from their golden retriever. |
| I have never done it. |
| Always |
| My housekeeper and I cleaned it before we moved in. You wouldn't believe some of the undesirable stuff people with kids and animals leave behind. Behind the sliding doors in a girl's bedroom were a million stickers. The boy's closet had boogers on the walls. Garage closet had mildewed old towels and years of dog hair. We always left our old apartments and home clean and empty but others don't feel the same responsibility. |
| I did it myself, truly deep cleaned. One whole weekend then a few nights the following week before moving in. Exhausting but I discovered so much disgusting stuff beneath the surface I know cleaners wouldn't bother with. If you want it done right do it yourself is my motto. |
| We always buy new houses and have them cleaned I can't imagine how dirty a used house is with boomers |
Bless you for changing this to “boogers.” |
Seemed appropriate. 😉 |
Check your privilege. Most people live in “used” homes. |
This was me too. |
| Always get it deep cleaned, floors refinished, etc. |
