Meeting new people and wish there was a MAGA or J6 code word

Life is too short to spend time talking about politics. Go do something productive outside. I’ll bet you’ll find out politics isn’t all that important and liberals and conservatives aren’t as far apart as you are being indoctrinated into believing.

Not when you’re voting for people who are trying to stifle my right to vote and my body autonomy.

Goodness, the absolute privilege of your post, PP.

You are sitting in quite a place of privilege if you believe that.

Suggested keywords:

What does J6 mean to you?
* omg I can’t believe our democracy was attacked!
* omg I can’t believe our race was stolen!
* eh, idk. Post Christmas cleaning?

* I can't even believe the level of crazy exhibited here ^^

No surprise there.

Most have come around, but most voted for Trump the first time. All basically voted for lower taxes and did not care about the rest.

So, if anyone says, “I’m not political”, it could be a sign.

I've found that to be quite true. They realize that 75% of people don't agree with them but they have the good manners to keep their traps shut, unlike most of the MAGA bots here.

I think it's better to not discuss politics at work unless you know where everyone stands.

This is easy. Just start with sharing your pronouns.

OP, if you are not open to being friends with conservatives, you don't need a code word. When you're about to embark on a friendship, just let them know what your requirements are. Say, are you liberal? And listen. And if the answer is no, don't proceed. I'm not proJ6, but I wouldn't want to be friends with someone who will freak out if I have views that differ from theirs, so I would be relieved if someone told me at the outset that they are only open to people who agree with them on politics-- I wouldn't want to deal with that. You're doing them a favor by announcing your position.

Sooner or later they will let you know.

it's fine not to care about politics. Unfortunately sooner or later, you find out politics cares about YOU.

Look for the secret spy decoder rings - I hear all the fashionable MAGAs are wearing them these days

Maga/republicans greet each other with Hail Spectre or a white power salute.
