Meeting new people and wish there was a MAGA or J6 code word

I have met new ppl at school and work. I can’t help not fully trusting them until I know where they stand on Trump. Are they MAGA? J6 deniers? Indifferent? Wish there was a code word, like DCURBAN Mom “Larla”. Only one of us knows what that means.

Reminds me of a story a friend told me.
She moved to California a few years ago and was eager to make new friends. She thought she found one in a mom of one of her son’s teammates. They had great conversations and she was excited. Then one day the other woman said to her “how are you preparing for September 20th?” (I can’t remember the actual date) My friend was confused and asked what was going to happen that day, the woman responded with “that’s the day Trump will be reinstalled as President.” Turns out the other mom was a full-on MAGA conspiracist, it just took a bit of time to present itself.

This is so funny, OP!

I’m Black, so in some aspects things are easier for me, but I totally agree. (Quite often, white people make it clear to me that they’re anti-Trump/sane.)

But, sometimes I’m juuuust not sure. In those instances, I wish there was a label or mark of the beast on their forehead or something. 😆😆

Best just to distrust everyone. Even if they tell you they're anti-MAGA, they could be lying to fool you and draw you in.

I have found (and this goes further back than Trump - all the way the Reagan) that when anyone has ever told me they were not political, it turned out they voted very conservatively and didn’t care about social issues just taxes. Most have come around, but most voted for Trump the first time. All basically voted for lower taxes and did not care about the rest.

So, if anyone says, “I’m not political”, it could be a sign.

Life is too short to spend time talking about politics. Go do something productive outside. I’ll bet you’ll find out politics isn’t all that important and liberals and conservatives aren’t as far apart as you are being indoctrinated into believing.
