Academic Excellence vs Achievement

It use to be they chose 1 student for each category. I'm not even sure that was a good idea. Does everyone now get one of the awards? Now they have just made this worse

DP here. Our school has around 125 6th graders. I would guess around 20 kids got excellence and probably the same or maybe slightly more got achievement.

Our ES only gave out about 20 or so Excellence awards too. Many more get the Achievement award. Few get nothing.
