Luke Combs Sells out Stadiums

The more I listen to him, I actually think it's great that someone with a "Jiffy Lube" look is so appealing to younger audiences. I don't get it, but I didn't like Kenny Chesney.

Luke Combs does have a good voice.

However, there are so many singers in Nashville who have both physical appearance, song writing ability, and singing and dancing ability.

Luke Combs has been "elected" by his generation of country music listeners, which I find fascinating.

I didn't get the appeal of Chris Stapleton either but when he sand the National Anthem at the Superbowl--wow that blew me away.

Because he isn’t cute???

Oy vey, what is wrong with America? Or perhaps it’s just Dcumlandia?

Most people go to concerts to hear live music performed on instruments with real singing…not lip synching.

Looks don’t matter. Musical talent does.

Luke Combs makes good music. Full stop.

Perhaps country music fans are more open-minded and less judgmental than their counterparts.

Have you listened to his hits? They are good songs.

These men are a bit on the heavy set side. There I said it. They look like they don't put too much effort into their appearances, and they're audiences seem to like that.

I think that's it. He also has that unkept ginger beard that makes him look like he's from the Scottish Highlands or Appalachia (same thing really).

A dude that looks like this would never have such a smokin' hot wife if he wasn't rich and successful.

Good for him. He got there through grit and honing his talent. If it was the year 2002, the labels wouldn't have given him a shot and he just be another behind-the-scenes songwriter in Nashville selling his tunes. I honestly think movements like "body acceptance" help both men and women who are talented get the public recognition they deserve. The chubby guy with an unkept beard can be a rockstar....why not?

This is honestly one of my favorite covers!

Mine, too! And, I like why he did it: https://americansongwriter.com/luke-combs-reveals-the-reason-why-he-wanted-to-record-fast-car/#:~:text=My%20dad%20had%20a%201988,to%20all%20sorts%20of%20things.%E2%80%9D

I never heard of this guy until some of my GenXer's high school and college age kids started posting on FB, in their cowgirl hats going to his concert at a football stadium.

I watched one of his videos for about two seconds. He looks like Larry the Cable Guy, to me.

I like old school country, like Clint Black, one of my favorites. I still want my country music singers to be somewhat clean shaven. I never really liked Kenny Chesney, although all the women swooned over him and his butt.

Ok? I've never heard of him but . . . good for him?

He and his wife were together long before he was famous! In fact, she was supporting him for a while.

Thank you for posting this! I was wondering if there was a connection with his receding that song. That is awesome.

Luke Combs is the real deal. He is not fabricated in a recording studio. He is genuine, humble and super-talented.

To DCUM looks are ALL that matters. They wouldn't even dare to drive a car others might not admire. The most craven, risk averse, planet-damaging, status seekers on the internet. They live and die by the Joneses.

I've seen him live and thought he was great. I'm not looking to date him so I am not too concerned with how he looks. I am a straight woman who listens to a lot of women artists too - I am interested in talent, not artist looks.
