How many 2nd graders get into AAP for 3rd?

Which school is this or what pyramid? I don't know a single kid that got in for our school. We are a center school and about half come from the other school it seems.

That's not the norm. The best way is to check how many AAP and Non-AAP classes your school has in 3rd grade. We have 2 AAP and 3 Non-AAP classes.


That doesn’t take into account the other schools that may send kids to your school if it’s a center. If you have 27 kids in 3rd grade AAP maybe only 12 came from your school’s 2nd grade, for example.

At our center was about 15%, then the rest 5% was from non center kids. Then 10 more joined at 4th and 6 more join at 5th.

As a fcps parent of 2 graduates, one in AAP and one in Gen Ed, I'd say 25-30% is a good estimate for 3rd grade.

Just for reference as well, 30% of my 2023 kid's senior class graduated with above a 4.0 GPA.
