How do you keep mules on your feet?

Do you have trouble walking in flip flops?

Uh, I don’t have to do that. I just walk.

You just do this naturally without thinking about it. But too much of this toe gripping is bad for your feet long-term. It is better to have a back strap if you are doing any real walking.

Same for me. I can't even visualize what issue these other people are having.

Yes- podiatrists highly advise against all this toe gripping. It's really bad for your feet.

All this. I really really like mule styles because I live in Florida and am so lazy that I don’t want to lean down and do straps every time I put shoes on. So mules are perfect. However, I want them to have sufficient coverage that the top of the mule strap almost comes all the way to my ankle. Because that style does not require any toe clenching. But I’m trying to find replacement pairs for this summer and everything this year has thinner straps - which means toe clenching, argh.

I love slides and sandals but mules are so incredibly ugly.

I always think the back of the heel looks weirdly grotesque in mules for some reason.

I hate flat mules. Even if they stay on, they slap slap slap like flip flops. If I am wearing nice shoes, I don’t want to sound like I am tramping around a locker room.

I find a shoe with a slight wedge to the heel fixes the issue.

I’ve never had a problem with this. They stay on without issue.

And the pointy toe. Like witch shoes.
