Can a vaginal yeast infection cause sepsis?

Otherwise, your body's immune system works as planned and these local infection stay local.

So what else is going on with your body that makes you think you are immunocompromised?

I keep getting yeast infections. I wonder if it is my soap or detergent, or moisture somehow. I wonder if I have an immune issue and hence upset.

NP her le. I think some people are just more prone to yeast infections. Curious how those in that category (recurring yeast infections) finally knocked them out once and for all!

If you're having sex, your partner may be infected and asymptomatic. If you aren't both treated, you'll keep getting re-infected.

I hate this and am scared it's going to spread.

If you have Candida Glabrata, which is hard to treat and resistant to the -azoles (diflucan, monistat…), your health care provider will likely tell you to take a boric acid vaginal suppository for 14 days, and provide a nystatin&steroid cream for your vulva if it’s irritated/itch. It works quite often. If still an issue after, they may try a nystatin suppository, or there is brexafemme which is a one day oral treatment (pricy, but usually covered to a reasonable amount if you’ve tested positive for an -azole resistant Candida.

Also, it’s important to work on your vaginal flora. Toward the end of the boric acid and beyond, oral probiotics with l. Reuteri and l. Rhamnosus are very important. You can also find vaginal suppository priobiotics.

OP I have selective IGA deficiency which makes me prone to infections. I had recurring yeast infections for like 10 years. It was horrible. The only thing that worked over time is boric acid suppositories. I like the Honeypot brand.

The issue is not all can just get treated and poof vanish....Then what happens?

Why can’t you get treated for a yeast infection?

Clearly you have never had a persistent infection that is nonresponsive to traditional creams.

You have an STI it sounds like.

Clearly you have never seen a medical professional and would rather sit and complain.

You would literally lose your mind from the itching before it got to that point.

What? I’ve never heard of that.

Why? If anything comes from this it should be you realizing you need help for your anxiety.

I know someone who died of sepsis in childbirth and it makes me so scared, so having a fungus in that area is a bit freaky because it could escape I am assuming into the blood/system.
