This is pretty insane and it should be noted that none of the students have been identified as attending any of the schools local to Tenleytown. Great work by the police officers for averting a larger crisis.

Suspect seen tackled in video had brandished a knife apparently at another student. Again, no indication of where these students were actually students.

We are only starting to see the downstream effects of the two year school lockdown in the major cities. Our elected officials erase 50 years of educational progress and we will all be less safe for it.

Why would they be there is they were not students at JR?

This event happened on the same day as JR Field Day.

You have to wonder why anybody would assume with everything in that area why someone would think that pulling a knife would not be met with immediate arrest. Heck there almost seems to be a permanent cruiser parked in front of the Target these days.

But what was the draw to get a bunch of Dunbar student over there? Was there a game or an event. Or are kids simply cruising rival schools to heckle the kids these days?

I can see why they thought they could get away with it. It’s the Wild West everyday in Tenleytown between 3-4pm. The amount of merchandise theft and open marijuana smoking is pretty stunning.

This is how DCUM shows that its readers are the dumbest and most polarized. You quote that someone says 3-4pm and then you say that only Seniors get out early and everybody else is in school until 3:30 which is EXACTLY what the person you quoted said. (3:30 falls between 3 and 4 pm in case maybe you come from someplace that does time differently.

So all you did was reinforce the original comment while accusing the person of ballyhooing. You unwittingly support them and agree with their point.

How did they get into MY neighborhood!

Umm, yes? Who would want kids coming from outside their neighborhood and pulling knives on people?

PP thinks it's racist to not want crime in your neighborhood.
