Concussions...How many is too many?

I'm a parent that went to public school in the late 80's. Our coaches always told us, "you just got your bell rung, get back out there". it was never an issue when I was a young kid. I just accepted the fact that you had to play when you were hurt.

As I previously mentioned, I was diagnosed with 7 concussions back in the day. I'm sure I had others back then that were not diagnosed. If you were not unconscious, just play on.

I am in my mid 50's and my memory is declining. I can't say its from CTE or for other reasons. Nevertheless, I can't believe that I am having these mental health issues at a relatively young age.

I ABSOLUTELY believe in sports for kids. I think everyone, boys and girls, should be required to play sports.

Having said all that, take care of your kids. You don't have to have your kids brain corrupted by injury.

Stop saying you have a memory issue unless you literally can’t remember the name of common household items.

You have a recall issue and it’s normal.

If you think this is limited to football you know nothing.
