Then just sling mud. Don’t have any proof. You obviously have great respect for her as you see her as the only person in the county who can read and understand Maryland law. That’s quite a compliment. |
| Does anyone have the link for the Open Meetings Act complaint? I'm happy to add to their list.. |
| Out of curiosity, what was the initial thing that set off parents coalition’s founder to the point that she’s been taking on MCPS for decades? Is it a personal beef? I have no problem with demanding transparency but I find her approach so off putting. |

There is no one person. It was the formation of coalitions. Marc Elrich was on the steering committee. https://sites.google.com/site/parentcoalition/about-us |
Yes, there is one person. |
I’ve wondered about this, too. I know this word is way overused on DCUM, but she seems kind of unhinged. |
Why did the Open Meetings Board issue an opinion? |
That's what they do, when someone submits a complaint that raises issues that are within the authority of the Open Meetings Compliance Board. https://www.marylandattorneygeneral.gov/Pages/OpenGov/OpenMeetings/index.aspx |
I think Parents Coalition has done some decent stuff over the years bringing light to stories other media isnt covering. But they have also gotten way over their skis on things that turn out to be nothing (Fani Gonzalez's husband's veteran benefits for example), and seems to be full on Covid nuts too. |
You mean full on caring about children nuts. How disgusting of them. Wanting better indoor ventilation for children and teachers. Horrible how they exposed Cloverly teacher John Vigna. That nice Italian teacher who just liked to hug his students. MCPS administrators should have free access to credit cards for their lunches and tire purchases. That's only fair. |
|
No, I meant being truly nuts on covid related stuff, even now.
But hey- you do you! |
Source? If you want to say improving indoor ventilation in schools is nuts, then you do you and stay away from the rest of society. |
Even a broken clock is correct twice a day - or once a day, if it's on 24-hour time. |
The best Montgomery County can do for oversight over a 3 billion school budget is a broken clock. Otherwise parents don't care and are happy to have money wasted. |
